The Kuwaiti army said on Wednesday that it had faced around thirty missile and drone attacks as part of an “Iranian aggression”, which left one dead and many injured.

“The armed forces detected 13 hostile ballistic missiles in Kuwaiti airspace since dawn, which were intercepted over several residential areas, resulting in falling debris. The armed forces also detected and engaged their forces against 17 hostile drones,” the army said on its X account.

US MPs approve text ordering end to war against Iran

The American House of Representatives adopted a text on Wednesday ordering the withdrawal of American troops in the war against Iran, a snub for Donald Trump who engaged the United States in this conflict on February 28.

The resolution – adopted with the votes of four Republican deputies – however has a primarily symbolic significance, due to the American president’s right of veto.

OECD lowers its forecast for global growth in 2026

The OECD is more pessimistic for global growth in 2026 due to the rise in energy and fertilizer prices caused by the war in the Middle East.

The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development lowered its forecast in its quarterly report on the world economy, according to two scenarios: that of growth reduced to 2.8% in the event of “disruptions limited in time”, or a clear slowdown to 2.1% if these continued until 2027.
