If most of its defensive recruits wanted to be rather young until then, Amiens SC announced the arrival of a more experienced element in a sector which needs it and which had cruelly lacked it last season. Anthony Ribelin arrives in Picardy from Le Mans.
This is an element that has been around in the Amiens defense. Anthony Ribelin, 30, is officially an Amiens SC player until 2029. The native of Nîmes brings his experience to a sector that is certainly less young than at the start of last season but still relatively inexperienced in terms of age and at this level. Having done all his ranges at Montpellierthe right back made his professional debut in his training club in 2014. He only made 9 small appearances in two seasons and was heading to Rennes to try to really launch his career. But he never had his chance in the first team and was content with inconclusive loans at Paris FC (15 matches) and agreement Sannois Saint-Gratien (5 matches). In the summer of 2018, he permanently left the Breton club to join Marseille Endoume, a National 2 club. After another mixed spell (21 matches, 7 yellow cards), he joined Bourg-en-BresseNational training. And he finally blossomed, remaining 4 seasons and playing 111 games. Performances that caught the eye du Mans who recruited him in July 2023. He completed two almost full seasons and participated in his team’s rise to Ligue 2 in May 2025. Last year was more difficult since he was injured during a few matches in the first part of the season before settling for crumbs coming off the bench from February. It is therefore to relaunch himself and, perhaps, relive the joys of a rise in Ligue 2 that Anthony Ribelin decided to take up the Samarian challenge.
