After the announcement of a first recruit a few days ago, the leaders of the DFCO continue to work hard to prepare for the return to Ligue 2. It is again on the Puy side that the Dijon club found its happiness with the signing of right-back Ismaïl Bouleghcha.

The major project of defensive corridors is making great progress on the DFCO side! To deal with recent movements within the squad (the departure of Ismaïl Diallo and that, very likely, of Fady Khatir), Dijon recruiters have decided to make a double move in Auvergne.

Less than two weeks after validating the arrival of left side Moussa Faty, the DFCO offers its perfect counterpart on the right flank: Ismaïl Bouleghcha. The 23-year-old has signed with Dijon until June 2028.

A modern profile and solid experience

Originally from the Paris region, this versatile defender is coming off a full season in National under the colors of Puy. With 26 matches on the clock and 3 decisive passes delivered during the 2025-2026 financial year, he largely contributed to his team’s great season.

Having passed through JA Drancy, Ismaïl Bouleghcha subsequently completed his training at LOSC. Although he never played professionally in Ligue 1, he still tasted the demands of the very high level by playing around ten Youth League matches, the Champions League for under-19s, with the Mastiffs. Before exploding at Puy, he had also accumulated playing time during two seasons at Wasquehal in National 2.

A word from the club

In the official press release published by the club, Paul Fauvel, the General Director of the DFCO, does not hide his satisfaction at having completed this priority file:

“Ismaïl is coming off a particularly successful second season. He has all the qualities of the modern full-back that we were looking for to fit into our diamond system. His technical accuracy and the quality of his crosses will be valuable assets.”
