This Tuesday, May 26, 2026, before the Rodez criminal court, a woman aged around forty appeared for having attacked a driver of the Agglobus network, in the town of Monastère.

The events took place on Friday May 22, avenue de l’Aveyron, early in the afternoon. That day, the bus was traveling on the old Monastery road and was forced to brake as a car approached in front of it. But after this braking, one of the passengers immediately went up to the driver to hit her on the head with a pair of pliers.

The driver then stopped her vehicle and then informed the police. The police were able to apprehend the young woman who was placed in police custody.

The driver in shock

At the bar of the criminal court, electronic bracelet on her ankle, she appeared confused, struggling to understand what she was accused of. The file was sent back at the request of his lawyer, in order to be able to rely on psychiatric expertise which could not be provided in time. The defendant will therefore be judged on July 23.

According to the victim’s lawyer, “Agglobus drivers are worried at the idea of ​​being able to meet her on the line”. The Agglobus staff representative was present in the courtroom to support the driver, who was still visibly in shock from this attack, still wearing a neck brace around her neck.

Judicial control and ban on using network buses

For the public prosecutor, Chérif Chabbi, these facts are “extremely serious”, the results of “gratuitous violence”. While awaiting his judgment, the magistrate demanded a renewal of his judicial control and above all a ban on using the network’s buses.
