To defend itself, a Defense Committee for the Pau Pyrénées polyclinic has just been created. It is made up of 14 trade union (1), associative and political organizations, meeting on Wednesday May 20 to mark the creation of the committee.
“Faced with the threats facing the establishment, this committee affirms its determination to oppose job cuts, whether for permanent or fixed-term employees, and to defend a comprehensive, accessible and quality healthcare offering for the entire population of the urban area of Pau and Béarn. The Defense Committee of the Pau Pyrénées polyclinic, open to all republican and progressive organizations wishing to join, intends to initiate a broad and united mobilization in the coming weeks.

Among the initiatives envisaged, the committee invites a massive gathering “from Friday May 29”, at 4:45 p.m. in front of the Pau branch of the Regional Health Agency, at the Cité administrative, boulevard Tourasse. An audience will be requested with the ARS management.
“How long will we accept the deterioration of our health services? We are all in this together! The first emergency mobilization on May 11 has already borne fruit. We must continue and not give up,” write the members of the new committee.
