Ange Noiret: From Military Forecaster to TF1 Weather Presenter
From the Air Force to TF1 news bulletins, how does Ange Noiret bring his military seriousness to the weekends on the channel?
An ex-air force military member, responsible for deciding whether planes take off or stay grounded, will now assist viewers in planning their weekends. Starting from May 1, 2026, TF1 is entrusting its news bulletins from Friday to Sunday evening to a relatively new face for some of the audience, but someone well-versed in high-stakes meteorological situations. This person is Ange Noiret, 35 years old, from Toulouse and a former aeronautical forecaster at the Orléans-Bricy base. Before TF1 and ‘Bonjour’, he spent over five years analyzing maps for the safety of military flights, following training at the national meteorology school. Understanding this strategic role helps explain why his appointment to the weekend news bulletin position seems almost logical.
A New Key Role for Ange Noiret at TF1 Weather
On TF1, Ange Noiret becomes the regular presenter for the weekend weather after Tatiana Silva’s departure, who stated she wanted to “open a new chapter in her life”, according to Paris Match. Indeed, from May 1, he will host the news bulletins for the 1 PM and 8 PM slots every other weekend, alternating with Louis Bodin.
Outside of this, Ange Noiret continues to be a familiar face on the morning show ‘Bonjour’ on TF1, where he has been noticed for his friendly demeanor. This combination of morning and weekend segments strengthens his presence on screen and firmly establishes his name with viewers.
Ange Noiret: Decision-Maker in the Air Force for Flights and Missions
Long before the studios in Boulogne, Ange Noiret presented himself at 21 years old at an air force recruitment center with a simple goal: to become a helicopter pilot. However, his myopia closed this path during medical tests, but recruiters offered him a highly sought-after specialization in the army: meteorology, responsible for preparing aerial operations.
After intensive training at the national school of meteorology in Toulouse, detailed by Le Point, he became an aeronautical forecaster at the Orléans-Bricy base. There, he conducted weather briefings for A400M crews and participated in a mission in Jordan, where his analyses could approve or cancel a flight and directly impact crew safety.
From Military Forecaster to Public-Facing Figure on TF1 Weather
After over five years in uniform, Ange Noiret, in a relationship with a mysterious redhead, chose not to renew his contract and spontaneously sent his CV to several channels, as reported by Purepeople. The Météo channel hired him, followed by LCI. In fact, Le Point indicates that one of his summer weather segments on TF1 attracted 4.7 million viewers, further reinforcing his legitimacy.
On TF1, Ange Noiret retains his military reflexes, as explained by TF1 Info and Le Parisien. He personally analyzes Météo-France data, works without a teleprompter and appears in a suit – “Wearing a suit is a military habit,” Ange Noiret confides to Le Parisien. For TF1, this seriousness from the Air Force clearly influences the choice of their new weekend weather presenter.
