Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned amounts ranging from 250,000 to 400,000 hryvnias, approximately 4,800 to 7,700 euros. Ukraine is facing a shortage of military personnel, a shortfall felt on the front lines against a stronger Russian army. Troops are also reporting exhaustion and a decrease in the number of volunteers joining the army. An indicator of these difficulties on the ground: images shared on Facebook showing emaciated and marked soldiers facing delays in water and food deliveries sparked outrage last week in Ukraine.
