Several pilots of the Finnish Air Force have been sanctioned after their flight path drawings were discovered on several aviation tracking sites, highlighting several penis drawings, reported the local public television YLE on Monday, April 20.
The daily newspaper Iltalehti was the first to report the incident, specifying that it occurred on April 13 during a training flight for student reserve pilots of the Air Force. Several Grob G 115 planes took off around 7:30 am from Jyväskylä Airport, a city in the central part of the country, located 300 km north of Helsinki.
At least four flight plans revealed drawings forming penises according to data collected via the specialized site FlightRadar24. The Finnish Air Force confirmed that the pilots involved were indeed student reserve pilots and that they would face “disciplinary” proceedings. The headquarters reacted by stating, “This regrettable incident has been brought to the attention of the Air Force. An investigation was immediately launched and the individuals involved have already been sanctioned.”
A spokesperson, however, indicated that despite this crude joke, it posed no risk to the territory or pilots’ safety: “The planes remained in the assigned training area for the flight mission and carried out the exercises specified in the briefing. The planes did not deviate from their route.” This incident also did not impact the traffic of civilian aviation devices.
