French startup Dust has announced a $40 million funding round from American funds Sequoia and Abstract, with the participation of Snowflake and Datadog. This brings the total amount raised by the company to over $60 million since its creation.

Founded in 2022 by Gabriel Hubert and Stanislas Polu, former employees of Stripe, Dust develops a platform that allows companies to create their own AI agents connected to internal tools like Slack, Notion, Gmail, HubSpot, or Google Drive. The goal is to enable teams to automate daily tasks, find information more quickly, and generate content and analysis from company data.

Unlike other players in the sector that focus on individual AI assistants, Dust aims to develop agents capable of functioning at the scale of an entire organization, with shared access to data and workflows. “Complex tasks in companies rarely involve only one person. We want to enable teams and AI agents to collaborate from the same context and tools,” explains Gabriel Hubert, co-founder of Dust.

The startup currently serves over 3,000 corporate clients, ranging from startups to large corporations. In France, it collaborates with companies like Doctolib, Qonto, Alan, and Pennylane. Dust claims to have deployed over 300,000 AI agents on its platform.

According to reports, Dust has significantly increased its growth over the past two years. The company reportedly surpassed $20 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), up from about $1 million two years ago. However, the company has not yet achieved profitability.

With this funding round, Dust plans to strengthen its investments in research and development and accelerate its expansion in the United States, a crucial market in the global enterprise AI competition.
