Green, green, and more green. On three occasions during her state visit to the United States with her royal husband, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands chose to showcase herself in this color. A color emblematic of the USA, with its dollars, Statue of Liberty, and Green Card.

Spinach green, olive green, apple green

Choosing it for half of the six looks she sported during this trip, the mother of Princesses Catharina-Amalia, Alexia, and Ariane, however, declined it in three different shades. Upon her arrival at Philadelphia International Airport on Sunday, April 12, 2026, she wore a spinach green pantsuit signed by Jan Taminiau.

The next morning, she opted for olive green in a Claes Iversen dress. As for the following day in Miami, the wife of King Willem-Alexander appeared in a very flashy apple green Natan asymmetrical skirt and matching top.

But also orange, red, and powder pink paired with white

Preferring solids during this American journey, the wife of the Dutch sovereign also included in her luggage an orange Claes Iversen dress, which she wore to meet Donald and Melania Trump at the White House in Washington. As well as a scarlet Natan pantsuit that she notably wore to shine during two domino games in Miami’s Little Havana neighborhood.

Finally, it was in Natan again that Maxima concluded this official visit on Wednesday, April 15 in the same Florida city, by recycling her shimmering checked powdery pink shantung silk skirt. For once, she paired it with a white blouse with rolled-up sleeves rather than nude.
