The work on the sports hall is progressing rapidly. Inside, all the partitioning work has been completed. Electrical and plumbing work is underway and will be followed by the selection of flooring and paint.

On the outside, the insulation has just been installed and will be completed by the wooden cladding in the coming weeks. These are significant works in their entirety, which required a full year of construction, completed by all the necessary administrative work beforehand. Generally, for this type of project, it takes about two to three years before the ribbon cutting ceremony. The facility should be ready for the next sports season in September, barring any unforeseen delays.

On this same project, during the last municipal council meeting, the elected officials approved an amendment to the contract pertaining to the wooden carpentry work awarded to SARL Menuiseries Damiot, based in Gimont (Gers). The original contract is for 111,372 euros excluding tax.

It turns out that after dismantling the current stands, they cannot be reinstalled due to safety and liability concerns. Therefore, it is proposed to replace them for a cost of 49,900 euros excluding tax, bringing the total contract value for this lot to 160,772 euros excluding tax. As part of these works, the lead contractor A3+ presents a project for phase 2 with an estimated budget of 819,301.50 euros excluding tax, including the replacement of the stands for 49,900 euros excluding tax.

The municipal council, after deliberation and unanimously, decides to set the budget for phase 2 of the works (lots 4 to 10) at 819,301.50 euros excluding tax and to request the following grants: 327,720 euros excluding tax (40% of the HT amount of phase 2) under the Rural Territories Equipment Grant from the state, as well as 50,000 euros excluding tax (6.10% of the HT amount of phase 2) from the departmental council. The remaining amount to be covered by the municipality amounts to 441,581.50 euros excluding tax.
