During PSG’s last Ligue 1 match of the season, Ousmane Dembele left prematurely his teammates. Concerns arise ahead of the Champions League final against Arsenal.

The Ligue 1 bids farewell this Sunday, the 34th matchday is currently being played on nine pitches. During the first forty-five minutes, several significant events took place. First, a pitch invasion at the Beaujoire forced the referee to interrupt the match between Nantes and Toulouse in the 22nd minute. On the Orange Velodrome side, OM quickly gained the upper hand over Rennes thanks to goals from Pierre-Emile Hojberg and Amine Gouiri (2-0, half-time), doubling the Bretons in 5th place in the standings and virtually qualifying for the Europa League.

At the Parc des Princes in Paris, at the Jean-Bouin stadium where PSG received their French champions trophy ahead of their final league match against Paris FC, the European champions lost the best Ligue 1 player before the half-hour mark. Ousmane Dembele left the field on his own, replaced by Goncalo Ramos in the 27th minute. According to the Ligue 1+ broadcaster, the Ballon d’Or winner is suffering from a minor muscle strain. However, concerns are raised.

Possibly available for Arsenal in the Champions League

Will Ousmane Dembele recover before the Champions League final on May 30 against Arsenal? And more importantly, will he be at 100% of his abilities? The race against time has begun. Earlier this season, the former Barcelona player missed over a month of competition due to a thigh injury during France’s 2-0 win over Ukraine. More recently in February, a calf injury sidelined him for three matches. In 36 appearances in all competitions this season, Ousmane Dembele has found the net 19 times and provided 10 assists.
