The final day of the Regional 1 and Regional 2 championships in Normandy will be disrupted by the Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal. The Normandy Football League announced that the last round of Regional 1 has been moved up by a day, with all 24 clubs agreeing to play on Friday night. The matches are now scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2026, at 7:30 PM, instead of Saturday at 6:00 PM, to avoid conflicting with the Champions League final.
The president of the LFN, Romain Fèret, emphasized the enthusiasm among players, coaches, officials, referees, and football fans for this exceptional event. In response to numerous requests from Normandy clubs, the league decided to adjust its schedule to maintain the integrity and fairness of its competitions.
In Regional 2, the clubs will play on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 3:00 PM, with significant stakes for all teams. In Regional 1, ASPTT Caen hopes to secure the top spot for promotion to National 3 in Rouen, while Hérouville aims to avoid relegation. In Regional 2, Maladrerie’s reserve team may still be involved in the fight for survival.
The penultimate matchday of Regional 1 and Regional 2 is set for Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 6:00 PM, with all clubs playing simultaneously.
