On Friday, May 8, the U10 team from FC Bias experienced an unforgettable day at the tournament in Artigues-près-Bordeaux featuring prestigious player Aurélien Tchouaméni, a French international professional playing for Real Madrid. Under a beautiful sun and in a friendly atmosphere, the young Biasais team had an outstanding performance against teams from various backgrounds.
The tournament, set up as a mini “Europa League”, brought together sixteen teams mainly from Charente-Maritime and Gironde. Among the participating clubs were US Macouria, La Rochelle, Rive Droite, and Graves FC. It was a great event for the young Bias players, who showed their skills throughout the competition.
Match after match, the U10 team from FC Bias displayed great qualities of play, solidarity, and determination. Thanks to their remarkable journey, they made it to the final of the tournament. Facing the U10 team from US Macouria, who came all the way from Guyane to participate, the young players from Lot-et-Garonne had an intense and emotional encounter.
Despite being behind on score, the Bias players never gave up and equalized in the final minutes of regulation time, leading to a penalty shootout. Despite all their efforts, they eventually lost by two penalties to one, after a competitive and spectacular final.
At the end of the tournament, coach Mamuti Gesmy was very proud of the behavior and attitude shown by his players throughout the day. Beyond the result, this wonderful experience will remain a great memory for the whole group, who achieved a superb second place and a lot of pride.
