The objective of this type of meeting is both to offer opportunities to trained individuals and to introduce the various professions in sports and the training programs that lead to them, details Catherine Veyssy, vice president of the Cros. Often reduced to practice and competition, the sports environment actually offers job prospects in many fields: administrative, accounting, communication, social, education…
“It has been following me since I was young, I want to reconnect with this passion, but I’m not sure what direction to take,” explains Hugo Antajan, a 23-year-old student. “It’s sometimes quite opaque,” says the Bordeaux resident who, after training in audiovisual, is looking to transition into sports.
Careers in sports are often not well known according to Hugo Antajan, a 23-year-old student. “It’s sometimes quite opaque,” explains the Bordeaux resident who, after training in audiovisual, is looking to transition into sports. “It has been following me since I was young, I want to reconnect with this passion, but I’m not sure what direction to take.”
Stabilization of applications
After some exchanges at various stands, he should pursue a BPJEPS MAPST, a general training program to obtain “the basic foundation.” But how to achieve this? Again, many institutions offer these types of diplomas in one year, with most focusing on apprenticeships to facilitate professional integration.

“It’s an audience that needs concrete content, to directly apply what they learn,” explains Marie Devaud, director of the CFA Sport Animation in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Despite this, the interest in sports-related professions is slowing down. “We are seeing a stabilization in the number of applications. Some professions are in high demand, like lifeguards. Many still believe that you can’t make a living from them, that they are just temporary jobs,” she adds. This is accompanied by cuts in subsidies and a generally tense economic context.
Gender Equality
Graduating from the Amos business school last year, Sarah Genge came to the fair in search of opportunities after a year of unstable freelance work in sports events. “It is one of the most sought-after fields, it is difficult to find anything other than internships,” asserts the 26-year-old Bordeaux resident, who leaves with some leads.

It is also challenging to establish oneself in a predominantly male environment, even though most professionals are seeing positive changes. “More and more students want to get involved in women’s sports, which is a very good thing,” says Jules Wauters, training manager for the ESG Sport business school.
