The day proved to be challenging, but it turned out to be excellent.
L’Asfac set the tone by dominating against the second-placed team Graulen. Yolan Dalouze was the hero in the first half, saving a close-range shot, while Florian Moureaux shone in the second half. With a powerful shot from his right foot into the top corner, Moureaux impressed the crowd, drawing comparisons to “Kvara,” the Georgian from PSG. However, out of respect for OM, the comparisons were kept quiet.
The hard work pays off
While survival is not guaranteed yet, performances like this provide some reassurance. For Nicolas Guibal, it was a reward for hard work: “Even though we were diminished, the team performed well. We were realistic against a strong Graulen team. What’s important and deserves recognition is that the reserves also reacted well, showing that hard work eventually pays off.”
In R2, Sète earned a valuable point in Nîmes, a fixture that would naturally cause concern. Maintaining the status quo at the top signifies progress.
Meanwhile, Balarucois seized their chance against a direct rival. Nicolas Lambert and Dominguez provided a boost to their team, while Gauthier Campos, by saving a penalty, also contributed to the victory. The day was beneficial despite the uncertainty that remains.
In R3, Mèze ended their goal drought with a draw in Aude. The team, led by the Castello-Sansone duo, needed to bounce back to stay in the top three, and they achieved that.
