The Bayern Munich has officially been crowned the king of the Bundesliga. The football club didn’t wait until the end of the championship to make it known. The Bavarian club secured their 35th German championship title on Sunday.

Nine days before their trip to Paris for the first leg of the Champions League semi-final, Bayern did not miss their first opportunity for the title, handed to them by Borussia Dortmund on Saturday (a 2-1 loss to Hoffenheim). In front of 75,000 spectators at the Allianz Arena, Joshua Kimmich’s teammates, led by captain Manuel Neuer, emerged victorious with a 4-2 win against Stuttgart, their seventh consecutive victory after trailing in the game. With four matchdays remaining, the club now has 79 points and is out of reach for BVB (64).

Guerreiro, Jackson, Davies, and Kane were the scorers in the match against Stuttgart, continuing Bayern’s entertaining performances this season.

Since Borussia Dortmund’s back-to-back titles in 2011 and 2012, Bayern has won 13 of the last 14 German championship titles. The only title that slipped away came to Bayer Leverkusen after an exceptional season with no losses in 34 Bundesliga matches, a feat no other German club, not even Bayern, has achieved.

Now the focus shifts to the German Cup, with Bayern Munich set to face Bayer Leverkusen in the semi-finals on Wednesday.

Looking ahead, Bayern Munich has set their sights on the Champions League, eliminating Real Madrid in the quarter-finals and earning a spot in the semi-finals against PSG, the reigning champions. The first leg will take place at the Parc des Princes on April 28th, with the return leg at the Allianz Arena on May 6th.
