Recent Results in French Ligue 2
Destinies are being shaped with three matchdays remaining in this Ligue 2 season. In the opening fixture of the 31st matchday, Le Mans lived up to their status by beating Clermont at home (1-0). The Sarthois found salvation through Dame Gueye, following exceptional work by Adil Bourabaa (57th minute, 1-0). With this victory, the promoted team secured third place and put pressure on ASSE, who have the same number of points and will play away at Bastia this Saturday.
Elsewhere, Nancy was humiliated at home by Annecy (1-5) and remains in 15th place. Former Strasbourg player Moise Sahi scored a brace (21st, 53rd), as did Clément Billemaz (27th, 59th). Rodez, on the other hand, ended their impressive 17-match unbeaten run in Ligue 2. The Ruthénois won 3-2 against Amiens, with Arconte proving decisive once again. The 22-year-old striker scored a goal and provided an assist. Thanks to this victory, Rodez temporarily moved up to 5th place in Ligue 2. Pau secured a win over Guingamp with late goals from Dong (54th, 90+5th). On the other side, Louis Mafouta scored his 13th goal in Ligue 2. Lastly, Montpellier defeated Grenoble (2-1), with a goal from Enzo Molebe, a player previously targeted by Lyon.
