The European week revealed the complete tables of the semi-finals of the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. There will be two French representatives: PSG, aiming for the double in the Champions League, will face Bayern Munich in a pre-final, and also Strasbourg, overturning Mayence (4-0) in the Conference League quarter-final return after their defeat in Germany in the first leg (2-0).
Rayo-Strasbourg, PSG-Bayern
For their first European semi-final in history, the Alsacians will face the Spaniards of Rayo Vallecano in the next round. The team from the suburbs of Madrid had a tough time on the field of AEK Athens, losing 3-1 after winning the first leg 3-0. The other semi-final of the competition will see the Ukrainians Shakhtar Donetsk against the English team Crystal Palace.
In the Europa League, Braga made a good move by winning at Betis Sevilla (2-4) after conceding a draw at home in the first leg (1-1). The Portuguese will face the Germans of Freiburg, who showed no mercy against Celta Vigo (3-0, 1-3). The other match will feature two Premier League clubs: Aston Villa, who defeated Bologna (2-0, 1-3) currently 4th in the Premier League and quarter-finalists of the Champions League last season, against Nottingham Forest, who beat Porto (1-1, 1-0) in the quarter-finals.
The matchups for the Champions League semi-finals have been known since Wednesday: PSG-Bayern Munich and Atletico-Arsenal.
