Nadia Farès tragically disappears: employees reveal behind-the-scenes of the drama

Since the announcement of Nadia Farès’ disappearance on April 14 in the press, the members of the sports club where the actress found her death have not been able to recover from the terrible news. Interviewed by Le Parisien, some witnesses expressed their astonishment.

“Due to exceptional closure, the pool is temporarily inaccessible,” is the only information received by the members of the Blanche sports hall located in the 9th arrondissement of Paris on Sunday, April 12. While they did not ask more questions than necessary, probably imagining a water leak or something else, they were left speechless when they discovered what had actually happened in the chic sports complex. On Saturday, April 11, an lifeless body was found at the bottom of the pool: that of Nadia Farès, the famous actress who starred in “Les Rivières pourpres”, “Marseille” and “Luther”. Some members, who learned of the tragic news belatedly in Le Parisien, confided on April 14 to our colleagues: “Ah, it’s horrible! Yet in my Pilates class, the atmosphere was normal. That’s why the pool was closed.”

Another witness, who had heard of the awful news, did not hide her shock. “We are all traumatized,” she said. She added: “We were talking about it with friends in the locker room.” A few minutes later, our colleagues gathered the statements of another regular, a sexagenarian, who simply said that this drama is “so sad” and cut short the interview.

In addition to the sports club members, Le Parisien also interviewed some staff members. On duty the day of Nadia Farès’ disappearance, Marie-Jeanne recalled: “There were police car, fire truck, SAMU, all lined up in the street. […] I saw rescuers on the ground floor, they were looking for the victim’s bag, maybe to find treatments.” She assured: “We are in shock… The coaches, the clients, everyone.” Despite the shock and trauma, everyone is trying to overcome this drama, which is also the subject of an investigation to determine the circumstances in which the 57-year-old actress drowned.
