Many sports events will be offered in the Gard rhodanien during the Easter holidays.
Trail running, races, hikes, cycling – sports enthusiasts in the Gard rhodanien region will have plenty of options during the Easter holidays. Numerous sports activities will be available from April 17th to May 3rd. As the temperatures rise, more and more people are attracted to running races. To kick off the holidays, the night race in Montclus will open the Trail Provence Occitane Challenge on the evening of April 17th.
The program includes an 8.5km Trail Chrono with a 200m elevation gain, followed by a Rando formula with a free walk from 6pm, open to everyone in one of the most beautiful villages in France. The trail race will start at 9pm with a nocturnal departure from Place des Aires.
Grand Fondo Provence Occitane returns.
The next day, a new race will take place with the Foulée Montfaucofraise in the village of Montfaucon on Saturday, April 18th starting at 10am. From the town hall, athletes will have the choice between two routes (6 or 12km) which they can run or walk.
On the weekend of April 25-26, cyclists can take part in the Grand Fondo Provence Occitane in Cornillon. Four routes will be offered: Grandfondo (155km), MedioFondo (113km), Piccolofondo (50km) on Sunday, and a new event, the Gravel on Saturday. Passing through Montclus and Méjannes-le-Clap, athletes will cover 70km with a 1,300m positive elevation gain in this new challenge.
