Students in the 4th Segpa class at Salinis college in Auch will see their short film “Le monde à l’envers” at Ciné 32, this Monday, June 22 at 6 p.m. This project, carried out since last December, is part of the national system “All the light on the Segpa”, of which Salinis is the first Gers establishment to participate.
At Salinis College in Auch, 4th Segpa students will soon move to the big screen. This Monday, June 22, at 6 p.m., their short film “Le monde à l’envers” will be screened at Ciné 32, as part of a session open to the public. The thirteen students involved will present their project themselves to their families present that evening.
“All the light on the Segpa”
This project is part of the national artistic and cultural education system “All the light on the Segpa” which aims to promote these classes often victims of prejudice, through the creation of an eight-minute short film. This 4th edition, whose godmother was Emma Benestan, a Franco-Algerian director, screenwriter and editor, welcomes its first participation from Gers with Salinis College.

This initiative was proposed to the college by Blandine Beauvy, school coordinator of Ciné 32: “The idea is to involve them in a project that they build together, while allowing them to learn,” she explains.
Writing, acting, sound and framing
Accompanied by former screenwriter and speaker Taro Ochiaï, the college students imagined a short film inspired by the universe of Stranger Things, mixing mystery, disappearance and fantastic atmosphere. Writing the script, acting, sound recording, music or framing, everyone found their place according to their desires and abilities.

The project, carried out over 36 hours between December and May, leads them today to this session on Monday evening, during which other short films from “All the light on the Segpa” will also be broadcast.
