This Saturday, June 13, Laeticia Hallyday published on Instagram several videos of Joy’s graduation ceremony, at the French high school in Los Angeles. She then shares her pride at seeing her daughter reach a new stage in her life.

It is under the sun of the west coast of the United States that Joy Hallyday ends her life as a high school student. This Saturday, June 13, Laeticia Hallyday published several videos on Instagram of the graduation ceremony of her youngest daughter who has just finished her studies at the French high school in Los Angeles. In a first extract, we can see Jade’s little sister go on stage when her name is announced to collect her certificate. She is dressed in her dark blue toga as well as the traditional hat. In the caption of this sequence, Laeticia Hallyday wrote a long text to pay tribute to her daughter. “Today, it’s not just your diploma that I celebrate my Joyou @j0yhallyday. I celebrate the young woman that you have become. I celebrate each of the battles that no one saw, each of your efforts, each of your tears transformed into courage. immense sensitivity, your heart so beautiful and so big, your resilience and this light which never ceased to shine in you, even in the most difficult moments,” she wrote.

She continued by explaining that she “felt immense pride, but also this pang in the heart of not being able to share this moment” with Joy’s father, Johnny Hallyday, who died in 2017. “I know, however, that he was there, somewhere, watching over you with this infinite love that never leaves us. Today you receive a diploma, but I see above all a young woman who has learned to get up, to believe in herself and to move forward despite everything and that is worth all the diplomas in the world. I love you more than words can ever say.

“This year hasn’t always been easyâ€

In another video, Serge Varsano’s companion compiled several moments of this day. After receiving her diploma, Joy posed for a photo session, surrounded by her loved ones and her classmates. The whole family then went to the restaurant to celebrate the success of the 18-year-old girl. Once again, Laeticia Hallyday showed inspiration by writing a few words for her daughter in the caption of the video. “My Joy @j0yhallyday. This year hasn’t always been easy. Life has tested us at times, but you never stopped moving forward. You found in yourself a strength, a light and a courage that amaze me more every day,” she wrote before adding that this diploma has a special meaning and that it is proof that even if the path is more complicated than expected, “the heart always ends up finding its road”.

In her message, Laeticia Hallyday also had a thought for her late husband, Johnny Hallyday. “Your dad would have been so proud of you. Like me today. More than the grades, more than the successes, I am proud of the person you have become, sensitive, strong, generous, free and profoundly luminous,” declared the mother of Jade and Joy. “The world opens before you now. I know that you will write your story with passion, with daring, with this beautiful soul of yours. Never forget that your wings are bigger than your fears. I love you infinitely my Joy. Today and forever. I’m so proud of you.” Words that resonate in the heart of the young graduate as in that of her mother.
