“Toy Story 5”: Taylor Swift creates a surprise

This Tuesday evening in Los Angeles, Taylor Swift lit up the world premiere of “Toy Story 5” by performing her new song on stage and calling the film a “masterpiece”.

The atmosphere was already electric at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles for the world presentation of the fifth part of Pixar’s cult saga. To prolong the magic, she also shared the stage with the essential Randy Newman for a cover of the legendary anthem of the franchise, You’ve Got a Friend in Me.

Overwhelmed by emotion, the singer was full of praise for the feature film. “It’s my favorite Toy Story. It’s incredibly beautiful, it’s a masterpiece,” she confided, considering herself lucky to be able to make her modest contribution to this universe.

This piece, co-written with his faithful collaborator Jack Antonoff, was born from a request from director Andrew Stanton. Designed specifically for the character of the cowgirl Jessie, the title resonates as a real homecoming for Taylor Swift, who recently shared her happiness at having grown up with these animated toys since the age of five.

In this new adventure expected in theaters on June 19, Woody, Buzz and the whole gang will have to come together to save little Bonnie from the clutches of a touchscreen tablet called Lilypad, proving once again that imagination has no age.
