Since 2022, the Artruel association has brought the Truel chapel to life with six concerts per year. Thanks to the commitment of volunteers, the neighborhood and the support of the municipality, the Department of Gard and several local businesses, this cultural adventure now brings together nearly a hundred members.
At the heart of the project is the Romanesque chapel of Truel, built in the 12th century. Its owners, Osvaldo and Tina Lassalle-Burckhardt, open its doors for concerts, convinced that this heritage must remain “a common good”.
The objective is to offer the public quality works, selected by Osvaldo Lassalle, while promoting the emergence of young talents.
The association also contributes to making the history of the place known. Research carried out by Roselyne Berne notably made it possible to rediscover the figure of Robert d’Uzès, prior of Saint-Sauveur de Truel in the 13th century, known for his commitment to the most modest.
As President Anne Chatauret points out, the year 2026 began under the best auspices with The Lighta creation by Osvaldo Lassalle on tango rhythms which was sold out on April 25. The next meeting is set for June 27, with the Girard quartet as part of the Rosa Musica festival.
During the last general meeting, ten new members were elected to the board of directors, now made up of 19 members. Anne Chatauret was re-elected president alongside Martine Mante, treasurer, and Annick Gardiès, secretary. A strengthened team which intends to continue to promote this heritage and cultural place, while continuing to surprise and amaze the public.
