Rémi Romieu and Éric Confoland, residents of Nayrac and Saint-Côme-d’Olt respectively, have formed the musical duo Les Duganels for 8 years. Last Saturday, they re-attacked a season full of festive dates, with the Lassouts spring ball.
The Duganels is first and foremost a story of friendship, forged by and in music. Music is shared and that’s how it resonates best. Éric and Rémi learned many notes and lyrics, one on the accordion and electric guitar, the other on the acoustic guitar and multiple percussions. Having become essential in the various events in North Aveyron, the duo also performs during private parties or wedding brunches.
“What I like the most is when the audience sings with us, in chorus, it gives you chills!” confides Eric. The group also travels to Cantal, such as at the L’Atcen pas de Saint-Urcize festival where it has been back on the program for four years now, this year on August 7 at 7 p.m. The musicians will soon be present for the music festival at the Estanco bar, at the Espalion fairgrounds.
More than 30 dates this summer
The Duganels juggle between timeless repertoire and revisiting great classics, as well as between moving pieces and others that make you dance. “Sometimes Ricou sings, sometimes it’s me, we agree and support each other at the same time.” This lively duo knows how to adapt to different audiences in the region.
More than thirty dates await the two artists this summer, confirming their place within the musical and festive landscape of North Aveyron, before, perhaps, extending to neighboring departments or offering pieces of their composition. The latest news from Duganels can be followed on Facebook and Instagram.
