In the digital age, limiting the time children spend in front of screens has become a major challenge for many parents. In Vietnam, several famous artists have introduced strict rules to limit their children’s exposure to telephone and television screens, thus prioritizing their physical development and the acquisition of practical skills.
Mai Ngoc: Absolutely do not let your child have any contact with a cell phone.
Host Mai Ngá» c, who welcomed her first son, Panda, in April 2025, attracted attention with her very strict education methods. She revealed that she strictly forbids her son from watching videos on his phone and also limits her own use of the device when she is with him. On the other hand, she regularly looks for new games so that her son can learn and discover the world around him.

In addition to controlling screen time, Mai Ngoc also established a structured daily routine. Baby Panda was exposed to visual stimulation from a young age, took daily walks and swam 2 to 3 times a week. In particular, the school teacher imposed a strict rule: no television, no cell phones during meals; each meal lasted a maximum of 15 minutes in a fixed space to promote concentration.

Cuong Do La and Dam Thu Trang chose to limit screen time rather than ban it altogether. Their daughter, Suchin, is only allowed to watch cartoons for about ten minutes each evening. This very short duration allows her to enjoy these moments of entertainment and prevents her from becoming dependent on screens.

Rather than letting them indulge in electronic devices, Dam Thu Trang favors time spent with her children before bedtime (8 p.m.) chatting, telling stories or reading books. Despite their considerable wealth, the couple encouraged their children to adopt an independent lifestyle, form close relationships and appreciate family values early on.
MC Dan Le: Methods of support and explanation of impacts on health.
Instead of giving orders, host Dan Le prefers to talk with his children so that they understand the need to limit their use of electronic devices. His two sons are only allowed around thirty minutes of television per day, divided into two sessions. The facilitator regularly explains to them the effects of blue light on their eyesight and concentration.

Dan Le believes that when children have enough enriching real-life experiences, such as reading and outdoor activities, they will naturally reduce their dependence on technology, without the need for coercive measures. It favors social bonds within the family through shared activities.
