Lavaur. Ciné Pastel already has 30,000 admissions

The ribbon cutting had the value of an official inauguration, Tuesday evening June 2, 2026. Around the new Ciné Pastel cinema complex were gathered the numerous partners who contributed to its financing, but also the mayors of the territory, since they are within the attractive radius of this complex.

In particular, representatives of the National Cinema Center (CNC), the Agence Régionale Aménagement Construction Occitanie (ARAC), the Occitanie Region, represented by Serge Regourd, president of the Culture commission, as well as the Tarn Department with Laurent Vandeendriessche, vice-president in charge of Culture. Laurent Gandra-Moreno, sub-prefect of Castres, also participated in this ceremony.

The opportunity for the various speakers to pay a beautiful tribute to the seventh art, punctuating their speeches with cinematic references and a few quotes that have become cult.

Alongside directors Jean Villa and Jérôme Quaretti, a very encouraging first assessment was drawn up: since their opening on February 19, the three dark rooms, totaling 400 seats, have already welcomed nearly 30,000 spectators. A start which confirms the public’s expectations and the interest aroused by this new equipment.
