Clara Lesueur was Claude François’ Clodette for a year

It is about Clara Lesueur who died on May 9 at the age of 82 in Sainte-Rose in Gudeloupe, her native town. Passionate about dance, Clara Lesueur left Guadeloupe for France in the 1970s to train. She participated in the adventure between June 1974 and the end of 1975during one of the most prosperous periods of the singer’s career.

Years later, in a report broadcast on TF1, Clara Lesueur spoke with emotion of her memories of Claude François, assuring having maintained relations with him “excellent“. She took over her mother’s family home and transformed it into a restaurant, called At Clara’s. An establishment that has become over the years a well-known address in Sainte-Rose, where she began a second life far from the spotlight.

On the occasion of a cruise dedicated to Claude François organized by his son Claude François Junior from October 11 to 18, 2026, Dani Borgformer captain of the Clodettes, gave an interview to TV-Leisure. The one who worked with the singer for several years wanted to defend his memory in the face of the controversies surrounding his private life. Returning in particular to the revelations of Julie Bocquet, who claims to be the artist’s hidden daughter, Dani Borg assures that Claude François was unaware of the real age of the young girl with whom he allegedly had a relationship and that he would have ended it as soon as he found out.

The former dancer also reacted to a 1973 interview in which the singer discussed his attraction to young girls aged 15 to 18.
