Thursday May 28the debate is coming to Cinémaville! Faced with the climate emergency, the world of cinema is also seeking to reinvent its practices. Production, filming, digital technologies, artificial intelligence: how to reconcile audiovisual creation and environmental responsibility?

The Cinémaville cinema will offer a free film conference, Thursday May 28, at 8 p.m., around this question, more relevant than ever. The evening will be hosted by Florent Pallares, filmmaker, speaker and trainer, alongside Thomas Vivien, specialist in artificial intelligence.

Both work within Frame (Federation of research in audiovisual, media and ecology), created in 2018, in Cabestany, during the first cinematic ecological residency of Film spring open France.

On the program: conference, screening of extracts from the productions of the Spring Open Film Foundation, directed by Slawomir Idziak (Dop of three colors: blue, welcome to Gattaca, King Arthur, The fall of the black hawk or even Harry Potter 5.) and supported by Natalie Portman, then exchanges with the public around new, more sustainable audiovisual practices. Open to all, this meeting is intended, above all, to be a moment of discovery, debate and exchange around major cultural and environmental issues.

Thursday May 28 at 8 p.m. – Free entry. Cinémaville – 14 rue de l’Espace Arthur-Conte, Pollestres. Large free parking lot. Information: contact-cinemaville@pollestres.com Tel. 04 68 36 37 67
