Haut-Jura. The Music Festival attracts travelers

Jean Delescluse, artistic director, Karine Croquenoy to the administration, as well as Sylvain Dionnetpresident of the festival, have imagined a 2026 program of a very high level for the Haut-Jura Music Festival. This 41st edition, which begins this week, promises a demanding program, open and accessible to as many people as possible.

The festival will take place roaming the territories of Haut-Jura, Saint-Claude and of Emerald Landwith also two meetings outside the department, Nantua and à Reculfoz. Between intimate concerts in churches and community halls, large musical formats and musical hikes organized in partnership with the Haut-Jura regional nature park and Saute-Frontière of transjuras poetry, the festival once again intends to combine heritage, culture and territory.

A prestigious closing with Alexandre Tharaud

The kick-off will be given on May 22 at the Saint-Michel abbey church in Nantua with On the Squarea show bringing to life the musical Venice of the 16th century around Piazza San Marco. The event will conclude on May 31 The Fraternalin the listed bistro of the Sanclaudian site, for a closing as atypical as it is prestigious.

The pianist Alexandre Tharaud will give two events there: a major recital at 4 p.m. then the closing concert at 7 p.m. Between these two highlights, the public will be able to find Louise I just finished and the actor Gilles Privat, Thomas Dunford et Léa Desandreas well as Julien Chauvin with the Lodge Concert et Juliette Mey.

Among the other groups and artists announced also include the ensemble “Prés de votre ear”, Robin Pharol’Fireworks Set, Alice Julien-Laferrièrethe Mercenary Guild or the concert The Somersault. Around fifteen dedicated to classical music and artistic discovery.
