In accordance with this comprehensive modernization plan, except for the Queen Cable Car and Sun Hill Amusement Park (including Ferris Wheel, Japanese Garden, Indoor Playground and Outdoor Games) and Asia’s longest roller coaster “Flying Dragon” (1.1 km), which will continue to operate normally, Dragon Park will stop welcoming visitors from June 10 and Typhoon Water Park will enter its transition phase from September 2026.
This transformation will give Sun World Ha Long a new face and stature, with the aim of becoming a world-class 24/7 entertainment resort, offering an open park model on the edge of the Bay of Wonders for all ages, with diverse experiences from a dynamic ecosystem of entertainment, dining and services available day and night.

Inspired by Clarke Quay – Singapore’s iconic riverside entertainment complex – the all-new Sun World Ha Long complex features a festival space, a bustling shopping area, open-air restaurants, bars and pubs with stunning views of the Bay of Wonders, a music stage and event spaces. internationally renowned… Note that the entire festival space as well as the commercial and catering areas are designed with colorful and original awnings.
This allows recreational activities to take place throughout the four seasons, regardless of weather conditions, gradually eliminating seasonality which was a major problem for a potentially wealthy destination like Quang Ninh.
The major asset of the new complex will be: Two artistic shows and fireworks, benefiting from international investment, will be regularly presented on the main stage of the new Sun World Ha Long Park and the adjacent Sun Carnival Square. These events promise to attract a large audience, extend the length of stays, increase spending and contribute to achieving the goal of developing the night-time economy in Quang Ninh province.
Additionally, the resort is also designed with meticulous landscaping, including a system of internal artificial canals, romantic bridges, artistic fountains and vibrant flower beds that bloom all year round, creating a romantic space that meets the recreational needs of park residents while providing a relaxing tourism and entertainment experience for visitors from far and wide.

Situated on the banks of a World Heritage natural bay, and spanning over 214 hectares, Sun World Ha Long is a premier leisure resort in northern Vietnam. It offers three main attractions: Dragon Park, Cyclone Water Park and Queen Cable Car – Sun Hill. Since its opening in 2016, the complex has welcomed millions of visitors each year, becoming a symbol of tourism in Quang Ninh and a must-see tourist destination in northern Vietnam.
However, after more than ten years of operation, this model has gradually revealed its limits, due to the seasonality of tourism in Quang Ninh. The transformation of Sun World Ha Long is part of an overall repositioning strategy aimed at creating an international leisure complex open 24/7, enriching the experience of tourists visiting the historic site, laying the foundation for the development of the night-time economy in Ha Long, responding to the trend tourism throughout the year and, at the same time, to strengthen the competitiveness of tourism in Quang Ninh compared to other destinations with similar potential experiencing strong growth.
