In “Everyone wants to take their place”, Vincent dethroned Marie-Christine, the greatest champion of the show broadcast on France 2 and hosted by Cyril Féraud.

A page is turning in one of the cult programs of France 2. Vincent, a 35-year-old history-geography professor, became this Monday, May 18, the greatest champion in the history of Everyone wants to take their place. The candidate who arrived on September 6 in the program dethroned Marie-Christine, who had been number 1 since 2018.

The fate was almost cast since Sunday. During the show, Vincent had equalized the number of participations in the show with that of the grand champion, which he ended up surpassing this Monday, with his 214th participation this Monday and a prize pool of 279,900 euros. “Vincent officially becomes the greatest champion in the history of the show!”announced presenter Cyril Féraud, as you can see in the video below.

This small event aroused enthusiasm in the ranks of the public who warmly applauded Vincent, while a shower of confetti was released on the stage. “It’s incredible”reacted the champion, who received a trophy made especially for the occasion, which you can discover below and which takes the shape of the emblematic red armchair of the show.

This lovely television moment also touched Cyril Féraud, who did not hide his emotion. For this historic broadcast, Vincent had the right to a visit from Marie-Christine, a good player, who warmly encouraged him: “It’s fabulous what you do. I wish you to continue […] to definitively mark history.” The history-geography teacher was also supported by his parents and his brothers and sisters, present in the audience and who said « fier[s] » that he became “Une star du petit écran” et « un grand champion ».

Asked by TV-Leisure on his record, Vincent spoke about his “Feeling of accomplishment”. “At the start, it really wasn’t a goal, it was even unthinkable.”confided the new champion who explains having “burst into tears†to his victory, moved in particular by “the support of [ses] near which he did not expect that they “Come from the four corners of France” to attend the filming.
