This is one of the most anticipated screenings of this 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival. Warrantythe new film from the César-nominated director Jeanne Herry (Pupil, I will always see your faces), was screened at the Palais des Festivals this Sunday, May 17 in the early evening.
The feature film of the daughter of Meow-Meow et Julien Cleric is carried by Sarah Giraudeau and Adèle Exarchopoulos who plays a young alcoholic actress prey to her addictions and professional and personal annoyances. Drama which will have to convince the jury to Park Chan-wook before hitting French theaters on September 23.
Cate Blanchett, but also Julianne Moore, in her long red dress, brought a touch of Hollywood glamor to the steps. The latter is present on the Croisette to receive the Women In Motion prize, awarded each year to an emblematic figure of the seventh art whose achievements and commitments advance the place of women in the world of cinema.
