Nolwenn Leroy is making her comeback on the small screen. After his performance in the series Brocéliandeshe returns in L’été 36a historical fresco which evokes the very first summer of paid leave in France, in 1936. In this new fiction, which will be broadcast this Monday, May 18 on TF1, she plays Giulia, the head housekeeper of an establishment. A rigorous, upright, sometimes severe woman, who built herself alone, after going through personal tragedies.Â
“I fell in love with my character who is very complex and who resonated with me on different levels, let’s say.” she explains in an interview given this Saturday, May 16 to our colleagues at Gala. Alongside her, three other women from different backgrounds will be involved in a sordid story of murder.
“We never left each other“: Nolwenn Leroy still so close to Sofia Essaidi
Among them, Sofia Essaidi, semi-finalist of season 3 of the Star Academy, who herself managed to establish herself as an actress after her debut in music. A joy, for the two women, to find themselves on a film set, more than twenty years after being revealed by the musical talk show: “I knew Sofia well for years. We met in another life and we never really left each other”, details Nolwenn Leroy in the columns of Gala.
If the Breton had won the television show in season 2 against Houcine, Sofia had failed at the gates of the final against Elodie on December 12, 2003. A complicity remained intact between the two women. “With Nolwenn, on the set, something happened straight away. A listening, a gentleness… We found each other.” she said for her part in the columns of Leisure TV last March.
A new album for Nolwenn Leroy?
In the casting, also, Constance Gay et Julie de Bona: “We knew each other more or less. Me, Constance plays my sister and was a wonderful accomplice, a sun. We didn’t often have the opportunity to be all four of us, because ultimately, there are only a few scenes together between the four of us, but I can tell you that when the four of us got together, everyone knew. It was a joy to meet again. We became friends in life.” enthuses Nolwenn Leroy at Gala.
No question, however, of putting the song aside: “The acting takes up a little more space than expected. And I meet people who start to say to me: ‘But do you still sing?’ This means… So, of course I’m singing and I’ll be back soon.” concludes Marin’s mother. A highly anticipated return.
