The Z’allucinés will meet movie buffs this Sunday, May 17 at 8:30 p.m. at the Ciné-Get in Revel for a new evening dedicated to Italian cinema.
Initially scheduled for February but canceled for technical reasons, the screening of Bellissima by Luchino Visconti returns to the screens. The session will begin with the short film “Generation Guacamole” by Pierre-Antoine Guyomard, a contemporary satire around the ecological contradictions of everyday life.
Then it’s time for one of the great classics of Italian neorealism: “Bellissima”, released in 1951, with Anna Magnani and Walter Chiari. The film follows a Roman mother ready to do anything to introduce her daughter to the world of cinema, in the heart of the legendary Cinecittà studios. Through this popular chronicle, Visconti films behind the scenes of Italian cinema, between dreams of glory, disillusionment and social fractures. The film is also Worn by the immense Anna Magnani, icon of post-war Italian cinema, revealed in Rome, open city by Rossellini, in Bellissima she plays an excessive, funny and moving mother, in one of her most striking roles.
The Z’allucinés are already announcing their next evening, June 14, around the theme “Music behind the scenes”, with two documentaries by Philippe Béziat devoted to the opera and the orchestra.
