The Larzac Music School association continues its development in South Aveyron, affirming its desire to establish itself in La Cavalerie to offer music lessons accessible to all. The school will allow the learning of the following instruments: accordion, drums, percussion, classical guitar, bass guitar, piano, trumpet, trombone, tuba, clarinet, saxophone, singing, organ. She will try to respond to any other request for an instrument depending on the students’ wishes. Children, teenagers and adults will be able to learn music in small groups of 2-3 students and with an instrument, to immediately connect theory and practice. Reading and understanding music, ear development, recognition of rhythms, intervals, and other musical elements, experimentation will be offered through playing, improvisation, collective practice and singing.
Determined to adopt an inclusive approach, the structure will be financed by learner memberships but is also seeking sponsorship. It can already count on the collaboration of La Cavalerie town hall, and the support of the Lions club, the Aire du Larzac and the Léonie restaurants. Registration for the school has been open since May 1 for courses to begin in September 2026.
