Three months after the death of James Van Der Beek following colorectal cancer, his widow Kimberly van der Beek took to her Instagram account to pay a new tribute to her late husband. But above all to speak without filter and without tongue in cheek about the reality of the mourning that she has been going through since her disappearance, with ups and downs. “Yesterday it was three months since we lost James,” she began. To say that I am heartbroken is a severe understatement. Words simply cannot explain what grief is.”
“The shock has passed, reality is setting in… and I miss him. We all miss him,” she added, under the carousel of previously unpublished shots of the actor surrounded by his children, sleeping next to one of his babies, out on a boat or in the middle of an archery activity. Memories from another life, to never forget this sweet reality which now belongs to the past.

(…) James’ medical expenses and long battle with cancer have exhausted the family’s financial resources.” Since then, more than $2.8 million has been raised.
