The L’Oreille du Perche association was created in 2022, under the leadership of Bénédicte Affholder and double bassist Claude Tchamitchian with the aim of sharing today’s music in a territory that is far from it.

But a territory is first and foremost people who live together and sharing emotions is one of the best cements to bring them together.

Création et répertoire

L’Oreille du Perche’s mission is to make people hear and discover creative music that combines very diverse musical sources (jazz, improvised music, world music, contemporary music…) and combines artistic quality and a plurality of musical approaches.

The programs take artistic paths that are often off the beaten track as the cultures, backgrounds and styles of the artists who are invited there are multiple.

After five years of existence, the L’Oreille du Perche festival has taken its place in the region and asserts its identity. The public is growing in number from year to year, and more and more people are also attending all the concerts, thus testifying to a lively curiosity as well as a confidence in the artistic quality.

Un temps de fête

The festival is a time of celebration as much as a moment of closeness and sharing which takes on its full meaning in the necessary action of social cohesion which our time greatly needs.

Particular attention is paid to the accessibility of the events to all the people who make up the territory in which L’Oreille du Perche is located, whether through the friendliness of the welcome, the proximity of the spectators to the musicians, the pricing policy or the invitation to meet times.

Instilling poetry, imagination and freedom, creating a space of diversity and sharing seems fundamental to us today, in a rapidly changing world.

Meaning and hope

Faced with social fractures, technological developments, nationalism, ecological threats and wars, faced with a culture threatened by standardization, yesterday as today voices are being raised to remind us of what constitutes our identity, individual and collective, to enrich our humanity, to (re)give meaning and hope.

This fifth edition by L’Oreille du Perche invites you to discover these voices from yesterday and today.

folk américaine

Thursday July 23 at 8:30 p.m., in the same church, Silent Storm : a duo in perpetual research reveals with great freedom of improvisation and reinvention American pop and folk music, songs with American folk influences and guitaristic reminiscences from West Africa.

With Pierre Tereygeol, guitar, voice, compositions and Guillaume Latil, cello. Daring to be intimate as a starting point for a poetic journey, Pierre Tereygeol and Guillaume Latil paint sound as if reciting a mantra. A beautiful encounter of simplicity and shared exploration.
