Here we go again. Like previous years, the Music and Wine Festival at Clos Vougeot will return in June, with its 18e  edition organized from Saturday June 20 to Saturday June 28.

The opportunity for music lovers to come and listen to the young talents of 2026 – Lauranne Oliva, Jason Moon and Daniel Strebulaev – perform alongside “former†young talents but also internationally recognized artists such as Rainer Honeck, Gautier Capuçon, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Sir Andras Schiff, Seong-Jin Cho and even conductor Daniel Harding.

“Several young musicians recipients of instruments from the instrumental fund will play during the week: the Magenta Quartet, winner of the String Quartet from the Music & Wine Instrumental Fund at Clos Vougeot, at the Saint-Vivant abbey in Curtil-Vergy. Raphaël Bleuse will participate for the second time in the Climats de Bourgogne orchestra during the closing concert,” indicate the organizers via un communiqué.

An instrumental collection of 33 instruments

Music and wine at Clos Vougeot is an association created in 2008 by Aubert de Villaine and Bernard Hervet, with the support of major Burgundian estates. “Since its inception, it has been actively committed to supporting the young generation of musicians, supporting their careers through scholarships and the loan of exceptional instruments in France and the United States.â€

Today, the instrumental collection is made up of 33 stringed instruments, allowing young musicians to access very high level instruments.

Each year, the festival takes place in different prestigious locations: Château du Clos de Vougeot, Château de Meursault but also Saint-Vivant Abbey, courtyard of the Hôtel-Dieu in Beaune. It combines music and wine tastings. In June, the evenings at the Clos de Vougeot and the Château de Meursault will open “with a tasting of the emblematic estates, before giving way to a chamber music concert and a major symphonic concert closing the festival”, it is indicated.

Two exceptional auctions

At the same time as the Festival, two exceptional auctions will take place. Their objective? Allow part of the instrumental fund and scholarships intended for young talents to be financed. This year, the Sotheby’s auction house will organize them. One will take place “online for the duration of the festival which offers around fifty lots made up of exceptional wines or exclusive experiences offered by the region’s estates.” The other which will be held at the end of the closing concert of the festival with around fifteen prestigious lots and “varied”, indicate Sotheby’s services in a press release. The online sale will take place from June 15 to 30 while the live sale will take place on June 28.
