New York on Monday welcomed celebrities to its traditional Met Gala, a fashion event which was held this year under the theme “Art of Costume”.
More than 300 guests, including many personalities from the world of entertainment, paraded in front of the cameras on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
One of the most anticipated celebrities was singer Beyoncé, who was one of the event’s co-chairs after a ten-year absence from the Met Gala.
Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams also co-chaired the evening alongside former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

The absence of Meryl Streep was notable. The actress is currently promoting the film “The Devil Wears Prada 2”, in which she plays a fictionalized version of Anna Wintour.
Conversely, her on-screen partner, Anne Hathaway, arrived dressed in a black and white dress decorated with an outstretched hand and a dove among its motifs.

Sabrina Carpenter, one of the stars of the moment, said she was inspired by the film that bears her name.
“Sabrina,” the 1954 classic starring Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart, was later remade with Harrison Ford and Julia Ormond.
The outfit was a creation by Jonathan Anderson for Dior, who also designed his costumes for Coachella.

Other big names on the guest list included Bad Bunny, Kim Kardashian, A$AP Rocky, fashion designer Donatella Versace, and Jennie and Lisa from K-pop group Blackpink.
Bad Bunny aged himself thanks to a white wig, a cane and impressive facial makeup.
“This day of the Met Gala is the perfect day to explore and be creative,” she told Vogue, adding that her outfit took “53 years” of work.

Other celebrities who were conspicuously absent tonight included Zendaya and her fiancé, Tom Holland. The actress is known for her iconic style, but tonight, her stylist, Law Roach, was there alone.
Timothée Chalamet was not on the guest list either. Did the actor skip the Met Gala to attend the New York Knicks game tonight? Maybe we’ll see him there. His partner, cosmetics mogul Kylie Jenner, was present.
Jenner, the youngest of the Kardashian family, has made her body a work of art, so it’s only fitting that she showcases it through one of her favorite brands: Schiaparelli.
Her dress, which gives the impression of undressing herself, draws attention to her chest, the same one that made headlines last year when she revealed the details of her breast augmentation on TikTok.

Meanwhile, theater producer Jordan Roth caught the attention of Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster who, upon seeing his outfit, exclaimed: “It’s incredible! HAS”
Roth said he was inspired by his favorite painting at the Met, “Pygmalion and Galatea.”
It was one of the most original looks of the evening, with a playful interpretation of the theme.
British designer Robert Wun was responsible for creating Roth’s mannequin dress.
