Patrick Bruel once again finds himself at the heart of serious accusations. Fifteen women testified to Mediapart to denounce behavior they consider inappropriate, between 1991 and 2019. Feminist associations are calling for a boycott. While the singer continues his career in the theater and is preparing an anniversary tour, these new stories relaunch the accusations already raised in recent years. Patrick Bruel firmly contests all of the alleged facts while his fans support him at all costs.
Fifteen new testimonies implicate Patrick Bruel
Patrick Bruel is going through a new zone of media turbulence. According to an investigation published by Mediapart on May 7, 2026, fifteen women accuse the singer of inappropriate behavior or alleged sexual assault. The testimonies concern events which allegedly took place between 1991 and 2019. The stories come from women from varied backgrounds, such as a journalist, a singer, an extra or even a former model. Some mention non-consensual sexual relations. One of the witnesses also claims that she was a minor at the time of the alleged events. Even if the situations described present different levels of seriousness, all denounce a consent which would not have been respected according to their declarations.
These new accusations appear as the artist pursues several professional projects. Patrick Bruel is currently playing in the play Second Part at the Édouard VII Theater, alongside Marine Delterme and Stéphane Freiss. At the same time, he is preparing a tour intended to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the album… So look. However, this artistic news is now taking a back seat to the media coverage of these testimonies. The 66-year-old artist was already the subject of three complaints previously. With this new investigation, media and legal pressure is increasing around the singer. The testimonies collected by Mediapart describe varied situations, but all highlight behaviors deemed inappropriate by the women questioned as part of the investigation published Thursday.
The story of a volunteer from Les Enfoirés rekindles the controversy
Among the testimonies relayed by Mediapart, that of Camille particularly attracts attention. The young woman recounts an episode that allegedly occurred in 2012 after a rehearsal of Les Enfoirés. At the time, aged 21, she explains that Patrick Bruel would have invited her to his dressing room. According to his story, a security guard then intervened with this sentence: “Patrick, not her, she’s a volunteer”. This testimony is causing a lot of reaction today on social networks. The scene described by the young woman raises new questions about the singer’s alleged behavior in a professional context. Several Internet users believe that this story reinforces the seriousness of the accusations already mentioned against the artist. Faced with these new revelations, Patrick Bruel firmly contests the accusations. Contacted by Mediapart, its lawyers, Maîtres Christophe Ingrain and Céline Lasek, judge the testimonies “sometimes contradictory or incoherent”. The singer also claims to have “never used his notoriety or his position to obtain sex”. Since the first accusations made public, the artist has always denied any sexual violence. For the moment, these new testimonies have not given rise to new publicly known complaints. However, the affair continues to gain media attention. Between his artistic career and these repeated accusations, Patrick Bruel sees his image once again weakened by an investigation which has already provoked numerous reactions in public opinion.
