The cinema of Castillonnès unveils a rich month of May full of emotions, discoveries, and diversity with a particularly eclectic program. From auteur films, highly anticipated blockbusters, youth sessions, to world cinema, Cinema 4 offers a true cinematic journey for all audiences.

Highlights of the month include “Cinema from Elsewhere,” scheduled for Friday, May 29th starting at 6:30 pm, featuring two films in their original version and a buffet offered between screenings. The audience will have the opportunity to discover “The Mango Tree Flowers,” a poignant drama following the journey of two Rohingya children in search of their family, and then “Romeria,” a sensitive work about family secrets and the quest for identity.

The young audience will also be catered to with several dedicated sessions, including “Edmond and Lucy, the forest adventure,” shown at a reduced rate, as well as “Elfie and the Super Elfkings,” an animated film full of fantasy and adventure. A special “Minis” session with “Super Mario Galaxy” is also scheduled.

Fans of French cinema can look forward to several awaited comedies such as “Cocorico 2” with Christian Clavier and Didier Bourdon, “For Pleasure” with Alexandra Lamy and François Cluzet, or “The Hustler” with Josiane Balasko and Jean-Pascal Zadi.

International cinema will also take a significant place with original films like “Is This Thing On?” by Bradley Cooper, “Sukkwan Island,” based on David Vann’s famous novel, and “The Noose,” a thriller inspired by a true story directed by Gus Van Sant.

Among the most anticipated events are the screening of the biopic “Michael,” dedicated to Michael Jackson, as well as “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” marking the return of the iconic characters from the famous New York fashion magazine.

Cinephiles will also have the opportunity to discover more intimate and engaging works such as “Wild,” inspired by a true story in the Cevennes, “The Child Limper,” about the fate of undocumented migrants, or “Just an Illusion” by Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano.

The screenings take place in an air-conditioned room accessible to people with reduced mobility. Tickets are priced at 8 euros for full fare and 5.50 euros for reduced fare, with various subscription options available.
