In Marsannay-la-Côte, the month of May promises to be particularly lively. Between the commemoration of May 8, cinema screenings at the Maison de Marsannay, a contemporary circus show outdoors, and a morning dedicated to family games, the town offers an eclectic cultural offer. Something to satisfy both young and old throughout the month.
May 8: A time of remembrance and citizen gathering. The program begins with the commemoration of the victory of May 8, 1945, marking the surrender of Nazi Germany. Residents are invited to pay homage to the patriots, resistance fighters, and combatants of World War II. Two highlights are planned: 10am at the Memory Steles and 11:45am at the War Memorial. This official ceremony, free and open to all, will feature a tribute to General de Gaulle’s speech and a parade by the Harmony of Marsannay.
Cinema: suspense and humor at the Maison de Marsannay. Film lovers have two appointments in May. “Le Crime du 3e étage” on May 12, and “Mauvaise pioche” on May 26, both starting at 8:30 pm at the Maison de Marsannay with tickets priced at 5 to 6 euros.
“Frigo”: contemporary circus comes to the park. On Tuesday, May 19 at 7 pm, the living show “Frigo” by the company ‘Dis bonjour à la dame’ will take place in the park of the Maison de Marsannay. This family show promises a moment as whimsical as it is moving. Free entry subject to availability. In case of bad weather, the event will be moved indoors.
Games and conviviality with the Games Trunk. To end this month of May, the Espace Bachelard will host “la Malle à jeux” on Saturday, May 23 from 10 am to 12:30 pm. Open to all, this event focuses on sharing and good spirits with social games, meetings, and animations in a family atmosphere.
