The illustrated concert “Tanka Silencio” was conceived by artist Alfred and musicians Sébastien Capazza and Sarah Auvray. The performance combines Alfred’s drawings with a musical soundtrack developed by Capazza and Auvray. The forty-five-minute piece serves as a unique auditory backdrop to the graphic story, blending influences from post-rock, traditional Asian music, repetitive melodies, and free jazz.
Established in 1997 in Bordeaux, the Fracas company specializes in creating musical performances that integrate various artistic disciplines such as theater, drawing, projection, and storytelling. The company aims to engage audiences of all ages, especially young people. Sébastien Capazza, a saxophonist and guitarist, is one of the founding members, known for his presence in rock ‘n’ roll and free music scenes. Sarah Auvray, on the other hand, is an actress, singer, and sound designer.
Capazza and Auvray emphasize the playful aspect of their musical approach, stating, “This time, we will be playing using bicycle frames, as it is indeed a game. The playful side of music is very important to us.”
