After the heartbreaking funeral of Nathalie Baye, Friday, April 24 is also marked by the final tribute to Nadia Farès. On April 11, the actress was found unconscious at the bottom of a pool, located in a luxurious sports complex in Paris, after spending several minutes underwater.

Suffering from a cardiac arrest, the 57-year-old mother of two passed away on April 17 while she was in a medically induced coma at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris. This sad news was announced by her two daughters, Shana and Cylia, from her marriage to American producer Steven Chasman, from whom she separated in 2012. As revealed by her family, her funeral was organized at the Saint-Jean-de-Montmartre church.

A united family in grief for the funeral of Nadia Farès

The gathering took place in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, a symbolic place for the late actress who lived near the religious building. Many celebrities attended to support Nadia Farès’ two daughters and her ex-husband in mourning. Samuel Le Bihan was present, as well as Laeticia Hallyday, who was a close friend of Nadia Farès.

The mother of Jade and Joy, who did not attend Nathalie Baye’s funeral, hurried to comfort one of the late comedian’s daughters before entering the church. Claude Lelouch, Guillaume Canet, Elsa Zylberstein, Jonathan Cohen, Catherine Deneuve, Mathilda May, François Berléand, Pascal Elbé, François Vincentelli, Yannig Samot, Josiane Balasko, and Doria Tillier were also present to pay tribute to the memory of someone they loved and admired.

The family’s request for Nadia Farès’ funeral

In their obituaries published in Le carnet du Figaro, Nadia Farès’ close ones requested guests to bring white flowers to her funeral. This request was honored by most attendees, deeply moved by the premature farewell to the actress. She even had a film project she wanted to carry out in France starting next September. An unfinished dream.
