I own it: at 62, Zazie fully claims her age and asserts that she no longer dyes her white hair.

Zazie has sometimes had to face nasty criticisms about her. Speaking on La Bonne Copine on YouTube, the coach from The Voice on TF1 revealed that she faced numerous criticisms after deciding to stop dyeing her hair. While her white streaks were well received by the audience of the TV music show, the same cannot be said for the television industry, where her decision raised many objections. With irony, the singer acknowledged that the exercise was “a whole different ball game”, while using the platform to highlight the rigid perceptions society still holds towards aging women.

Zazie then revealed that the harshest remarks came from her professional environment. “It was crazy, I couldn’t believe it,” she said, explaining that she made the decision lightly. “I thought it would be fun, I’ll stop dyeing.” But her label, concerned about her image, urged her to reconsider her choice, fearing consequences on her career. This reaction deeply affected her.

On Monday, April 20, in Tele Star, as reported by Gala, the singer of Adam et Yves once again openly discussed the passage of time. “Getting a year older is the least of my worries,” affirmed Zazie, aware that not everyone has that serenity. She acknowledges that, for women, accepting aging is often a challenge. “We know it’s not always easy for them,” she admitted, before emphasizing that she no longer wants to hide her white hair.

“I embrace it, I haven’t dyed my hair in two years,” she declared confidently. For her, aging is not a doom but an enriching and inevitable stage. “Aging brings many positive things, including a new form of freedom,” added Zazie, concluding with a smile: “And I fully intend to enjoy it.”

Zazie has participated in no less than six seasons of The Voice, compared to ten for Florent Pagny. Returning for a special evening, the 62-year-old singer felt right at home among her successors. “It’s like riding a bike, but it’s not always easy,” she confessed to Tele Star. The looming question is: could the singer who coached four talented contestants ever make a return to the TF1 show? To this question, the artist with millions of records sold takes her time before providing an answer.

The singer honestly states that she “really isn’t thinking about it at the moment”, as she is occupied with the release of her upcoming album, the release date of which has yet to be revealed by the main person concerned. However, she readily agrees with Nikos Aliagas when he says “once a coach, always a coach”. “I also love The Voice because I’ve never felt as free to be myself as I have on that chair,” she emphasized. So, will she come back or not?
