Over the course of two days, the musicians of Jeune France participated in a training session for the national competition organized by the French Sports and Cultural Federation (FSCF) with professionals. Emmanuelle and Giovanni Rouberty, Roger Lefèbvre, Bruno Lejeune, and Nathalie Laurent listened to the three pieces prepared by the 40 musicians of Jeune France: “Traversée”, “Ragnarok”, and “Funk it up”.

“They did a lot of work. We are here to help them see things differently and take a step back,” explained Emmanuelle Rouberty. “Take your nose out of your music score to listen to others,” added Roger Lefèbvre.

Bruno Le Jeune praised the young musicians: “There are no rhythmic errors, no note errors. There needs to be more cohesion between the sections.”

Kentin Guillotin enjoys playing the euphonium, whose pistons allow for playing all the notes. As an apprentice carpenter, he appreciates playing with his fellow musicians. “We have known each other forever, we have grown up together,” he said.

Cedric Jarlegand, the communication manager, is delighted that professional musicians are helping them. The young musicians are delighted with the advice they are receiving. Kentin, a 17-year-old euphonium player for ten years after playing the bugle, is also happy to be preparing for the competition with professionals.
