Since Friday, April 17, the CStar channel has launched a new program: Flashback. Hosted by Nathalie Dartois, the partner of Cauet, this show interviews a different personality each week about five significant moments in their career. To kick off the format, Marine, the winner of the 2024 Star Academy, agreed to participate. During the interview, the young artist candidly revealed a dream close to her heart: to sing alongside Celine Dion. Despite considering it “inaccessible,” she shared the title she would love to sing as a duet with the Canadian star. In an episode of Flashback, Marine expressed one of her wildest dreams: singing All by Myself with Celine Dion. She admitted, “Maybe I can make it happen, I can hit the note with her.” Although she admires Celine, Marine hesitated to pick her as her dream duet partner, confessing her fondness for another artist, Sabrina Carpenter. Nonetheless, Marine ultimately chose Celine as her ideal duet partner. Repeating a challenging Celine Dion song 59 times in a row was a remarkable feat that Marine accomplished during her time at the Star Academy. Despite the difficulty, her performance of All by Myself became one of the season’s highlights, leading to her selection to perform it during the tour of over sixty dates. This was a massive challenge for the young artist, as she revealed in Flashback: “Initially I hesitated to say no, then I thought ‘it will be a challenge, it will be great.’ Vocationally, it trains, it strengthens, so I actually sang it 59 times in a row.” Undoubtedly, the audience was delighted by her accepting the challenge!
