Iran will continue its war with the United States and Israel for as long as its political leadership considers it necessary, a military spokesperson said on Monday, stressing that the conflict is ongoing and military preparedness has been updated.
“We can continue the war as long as the political authorities see fit,” army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia told the ISNA news agency.
In remarks carried by the Iranian state media, he added, “We do not consider the war to be over. The situation is still considered a war, and the bank of objectives and equipment for the armed forces has been updated.”
Reinforcing the message, Iran’s IRGC-affiliated Fars news agency quoted the spokesperson as saying, “For Iran, it is still a war situation, and there is continuous monitoring and surveillance.”
He also warned of further escalation if provoked, stating, “If the enemy takes a new action, they will be faced with new tools, methods, and arenas.”
Akraminia said Tehran’s objective was to ensure long-term security after the conflict, cautioning that its adversaries would face consequences. “The enemy must definitely regret it because, after this war, we need to reach a point of security and not witness another war,” he said.
